Do you understand this knowledge of zinc plate?

Zinc products are environmentally friendly and easy to recycle because of their strong corrosion resistance, easy processing, rich molding, strong compatibility with other materials. With an elegant and durable aesthetic, zinc is more widely favored in the design of high-end metal roofing and wall systems today.
Zinc plate commonly used in construction is a modern metal material with excellent characteristics formed by adding a very small amount of titanium (0.06%~0.20%), aluminum and copper alloy elements with zinc as the main component, also known as titanium-zinc plate. The so-called “titanium zinc” is made of high-grade electrolytic zinc with a purity of up to 99.99% and smelted with precise and quantitative copper and titanium, which improves the processing performance and mechanical properties of zinc, and the quality is also better.
After adding copper and titanium to zinc, the characteristics of the zinc plate become more superior. Copper greatly improves the tensile strength of the alloy, and titanium improves the creep resistance of the alloy plate over time. The alloy of the four metals makes the plate the expansion coefficient is reduced.
When the zinc sheet comes into contact with carbon dioxide and water in the air, there are two main stages in the chemical change process, namely the formation of a zinc hydroxide carbonate layer and a zinc carbonate layer. This dense oxide layer acts as a protective film to prevent the internal zinc from further corrosion, ensuring long-term service life of sheet metal.
In construction, zinc sheet has significant advantages compared with commonly used galvanized steel sheet and aluminum sheet. Zinc sheet has self-protection properties, and no other special anti-corrosion treatment is required. Even if the surface is damaged, a protective layer can be re-formed with its self-protection properties to prevent further corrosion. Galvanized sheet and aluminum sheet will scratch or peel off the zinc layer or oxide film on the surface due to bumping and other reasons, and then be corroded, so additional maintenance costs are required.
