1. Bright tube (cold tube)
Some customers in the late circular processing of the inner hole, in addition to the material surface has higher requirements. Considering the cost comprehensively, it is recommended to use bright tube, because bright tube has better brittleness and easy processing. Mainly for mild steel. But compared with annealed pipe, bright pipe has higher hardness and brittleness, easy to hurt lathe tool.
2. Anneal tube
Annealing is mainly used to remove residual stress on the surface of seamless steel tube, reduce mechanical properties and improve ductility. But after annealing, the brittleness of seamless steel tube is also greatly reduced, which is not conducive to turning, easy to stick knife, poor turning quality, finish and some end customer requirements, especially some low carbon steel is particularly significant.
3. Normalize
But in some practical cases, mild steel also needs to be heat-treated. Compared with annealing, normalizing can improve mechanical properties, neither as high as the hardness of bright tube, nor as poor as the brittleness of annealed tube. Normalizing performance is more in the middle, can meet the actual use requirements of customers. For example, low carbon thick wall pipe, and the end of the product need to buckle groove, tapping, car modeling and other processes.
Of course, the selection of seamless steel tube should also be considered according to the performance of the equipment. Due to different performance, processing quality is also different, high-end equipment can be very good to deal with a variety of materials, but most small and medium-sized enterprises do not have such conditions. So we need to choose the right material according to their own industry, different processing technology.
